Badlands Terracotta

Badlands Terracotta builds in layered clay. Rust-orange clay brick sits in pale mortar, and a second course runs fine horizontal strata bands of ochre and cream straight through it, which is the signature of the set. Rounded weathered cobblestone comes in dusty rose, plain or with pale ochre grit worked into the gaps. Plain speckled rust clay, a polished dark brown-black slab, deep brick-red fired brick with cream mortar and smooth pale cream clay carry the walls. Sun-bleached grey-brown planks pair with darker aged boards, an upright stretch of dead-wood bark split by deep vertical cracks, and its flat cut top showing pale grey rings. A shelf of stacked clay pots and folded hide, a woven dusty-rose and cream striped blanket, a scored dark slab and dry olive-khaki scrub turf finish the set. Everything here is dry and sun-bleached surface artwork: nothing glows, nothing is transparent and no block behaves differently.
