Brutalist Concrete

Brutalist Concrete strips a build back to poured concrete. Cool grey block walls run in a plain running bond with fine recessed joints, a second course carries faint darker pour stains running down from the top edge, and broken concrete rubble comes plain or with a few warm sand-coloured fragments. Plain board-formed concrete, a polished charcoal slab, warm sand cast block and pale bone-grey panel carry the walls. Oxidised aluminium and darker anodised panel boards pair with a deeply grooved ribbed column and its faint concentric pour-ring top, and a rack of plain grey storage boxes, pale felt acoustic panel, near-black rubber flooring and grey-green lichen over concrete finish the set. There is no ornament and no colour beyond the sand accent, by design. This is surface artwork only: no block glows, no light level changes and nothing behaves differently.
