Saffron Souk

Saffron Souk builds a covered market row. Warm sandstone block walls sit in pale mortar, a second course sets a band of small indigo and saffron geometric tiles into the stone, and rounded terracotta cobblestone comes plain or chipped with indigo glaze between the stones. Plain sandstone, a deep indigo glazed tile carrying a repeating geometric star, terracotta fired brick and sand-flecked cream lime plaster carry the walls. Honey cedar and walnut boards pair with fibrous palm trunk bark and a pale ringed palm log top, and a shelf of stacked spice sacks and small brass tins, a saffron-and-indigo striped rug weave, an indigo glazed slab and dusty sage desert moss finish the set. Patterned tilework is the signature of this pack rather than an accent. This is surface artwork only: no block glows, no light level changes and nothing behaves differently.
